The first kitchen design idea to consider is its layout. It needs to be functional as well as beautiful. One older method of designing the layout is the work triangle. The range, sink and refrigerator would form the points of this "work triangle" therefore creating an area that would make cooking & cleaning easier. One issue with this concept is only one person typically would fit in this triangle. Today, cooking is usually a family event with socializing therefore its design should take this into account.
It's good to be bold and experimental when deploying the rustic design to your kitchen. Different color schemes like cobalt blue, burnt orange, tomato red, olive green and sunflower yellow give it a unique and personalized look. A rustic environment requires stucco walls, Venetian plasters and rough looking walls giving it an innovated vintage design. Other design schemes include iron wall decoration, iron wall grills and iron cabinets that become the focal point of every observer upon entering the kitchen.
Traditional: Embodies the archaic and refined look of classical European architecture and design. Heavily influenced by the Greco-Roman classical period, kitchens possessing a traditional theme benefit from the formal lines these styles bring.
